Last month our family decided to host the First Annual Dean Derby. The pinewood derby was an event I did as a kid with the Boy Scouts and it was a blast. We purchased kits for all the kids in our neighborhood and they had about a month to complete their car. All of the time spent planning, building and decorating certainly was a nice distraction from the ever-looming pandemic that surrounded us. While no one in our family took home a prize, everyone had a blast!
