In the words of Andy Williams, “it’s the most wonderful time of the year,” so as we were planning the Winter Festival for our friends from the Garden State Coop we wanted to make sure everyone had a great time and left with fond memories. Thinking back to great holiday memories, I remembered my cousins and I going to my Grandmother’s (Ganny) house to bake holiday cookies. This sparked the idea to have a holiday cookie exchange at the Winter Festival. We started by talking to our manufacturers and asking everyone to tell us their favorite holiday cookie. After collecting everyone’s favorite cookie, we decided that the Dean’s would continue the family tradition and along with our girls we would bake all of the cookies.
Knowing that we were expecting about 40 people we ordered red tins, went to the grocery store and started baking. Baking 65 dozen cookies in three days was going to be a tall task but our family was up for the challenge.
Here are the treats everyone will get to take home:
Rum Balls
Mantecaditos
Peanut Butter
Sugar Cookies
